  1. I wish you’d play ANYWHERE in Texas!! Take 6 and Manhattan Transfer are my top two favorite groups of all time!!!

  2. Love my big Brothers! You guys rocked the house in Cali! Northridge ain’t the same now. Need to circle back to Los Angeles. So many more fans want to see you.

  3. I just saw your “Summit” show in Cerritos, CA tonight and was totally blown away. The Manhattan Transfer has been my favorite vocal group since the HiLo’s broke up (I’ve memorized all the HiLo’s and Manhattan Transfer recordings and followed everything Gene Puerling ever did. I’m so glad you mentioned him, as well as Tim’s amazing talent as The Founder of The Manhattan Transfer.)
Tonight was the first time I’ve seen Take 6 perform on stage. You guys are simply outstanding in every way. The “Summit” show was awesome and the blend, yet different, combination between Take 6 and The Manhattan Transfer was tonally perfect. “Summit” is the perfect name for your show. In my opinion, it truly is the absolute “top” of the best jazz vocal performances, with or without accompaniment, I’ve ever seen or heard on recording. (Your sight gags and audience involvement was also great fun.) Tonight was a great and renewing experience for me.
Just as a “qualifying” comment, I’m now almost 78 and have spent my career as a University Professor. But, back in the late 1950’s and through the ’60’s, I played jazz drums with a trio, 16 piece jazz band, and “The Fine Arts Jazz Quintet” in Boston to help pay my way through graduate school. In the Army in 1957-58, I sang in a quartet that won “The All Army Entertainment Contest” in the barbershop and jazz vocal divisions. Harmonic musical notes have been running through my bloodstream ever since. Your performance tonight in Cerritos, CA brought it all back to life in me. Thanks so much.

  4. Well, not sure how I’d improve on Dr. Hartl’s comments but just have to say … WOW WOW WOW … Saturday PM at Cerritos was a slice of heaven–and I know you guys know what we’re talkin’ about! Seriously … I was smiling the entire (too brief!) 90 minutes. I LOVE Take 6 but have never seen a live performance–I was THRILLED. Then, the way you guys coordinated with Manhattan Transfer … it was just magic. You sang it as we felt it … HAPPY! (A few times it was simply so exquisitely beautiful, I’ll admit it made me teary-eyed simply for the utter perfection of those tones.) If you weren’t at tour’s end (nearly), I’d be looking to see where I could travel and take it all in again. I hope it’s been such a great year, you’ll consider a “Return Engagement” … I’m there!

  5. 3/7/17 and just found out about Tacoma. Needless to say you are sold out and I am broken hearted. The Summit is perfect. Just add Chantikleer and you have the PERFECT STORM

  6. You guys never come to Melbourne Australia so I’m fly to Hawaii to see you. Only been following you since 1988
Take6 one of my first cassettes
I’ll be able to die a satisfied man while I praise God for you all!
    Stan

  7. Saw the Naperville, Il show last fall and hoping you will be back in the Chicago area soon. Would like to purchase the poster of both groups together. Is it available?

  8. Saw you briefly in concert in Chicago one summer ,but had to cut it short because of bad weather . I saw the Summit with Manhattan Transfer on PBS last Thursday and DVDed it / The Stevie Wonder song was sublime because it was done so wonderfully . Please bring the Summit to Chicago ,Skokie and Champagne are way to far if you don’t drive .

  9. Ten voices strong and with 20 Grammy Awards between them, the dream-team combo of the Manhattan Transfer and male gospel ensemble Take 6 promises an unforgettable evening of crystal-clear harmonies, gospel grooves, lush melodies, and the uplifting experience of extraordinary voices raised in song. Celebrating the Manhattan Transfer’s h anniversary, this rousing vocal extravaganza was the subject of a PBS special called and backed by a sleek live band and then join forces for a thrilling “battle of the bands.” Expect favorites like “Operator,” “Birdland,” “Boy From New York City,” and “Route 66,” plus music by Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, tunes from the Great American Songbook, and new arrangements prepared specially for this tour.
